S7nners
S7nners is a contemporary circus production created and directed by Alicia Cutaia of ARC in Movement. This show was created with “The Circus Project” for Portland’s Fertile Ground Festival. follow the story of Pandora and the seven deadly sins. ARC created a classic cabaret world in which Pandora discovers the sins. It’s a world filled with color, fantasy, and a sensational combination of original live music, dance, and circus artistry. The professional, interdisciplinary cast of dancers, aerialists, martial artists, jugglers, and contortionists, will embody the universal struggle against “sin,” by transporting the audience through a world where sin is the way of life. Will they emerge better and stronger for the journey or be lost to the power of the “Seven?” Integrating a foundation in contemporary circus with a choreographic lens inspired by classical Jazz styles, S7nners takes advantage of Portland’s homegrown talent and promises to be an innovative and inspired new work.
